Brown buwbrown@comcast.net July 28, 2008, 2:41 pm Letterhead: Standard Pattern Works, largest and exclusive makers of wood and metal patterns in Michigan. 144-146 Fort Street East, Detroit. Body of letter addressed to Raymond C. Lauer, Dover, Pa. Dear Sir: Your letter of the 26th at hand. You did not state whether you are a wood or metal pattern-maker. At the present time we have all the metal patternmen that we require but have an opening for a half dozen wood men. We pay $4.00 per day for ten hours and can offer you steady employment the year round at that rate. Kindly advise if this appeals to you, and if we may expect you to report and when. Very truly yours, (signed) A.P. Henz, Mgr.
