Eighty-five years ago Mr. LeBlanc was born in a little log cabin, built by his grandparents on the same spot where he spend all of his life, and where he died. He has been failing for the past year. Way back in the early days Mr. LeBlanc was both altar boy and choir for Fr. Boehm, when he celebrated masses and married youthful French people in the LeBlanc log cabin. Even now there is in the LeBlanc home the old cupboard in which Fr. Boehm stored away his priestly robes. Mr. LeBlanc was a thrifty farmer and had accumulated the largest holdings of land in the township, and was known to everyone in the down-river district. He was a great lover of home life and was never farther away from Ecorse than Detroit and Jackson. Three years ago Mr. and Mrs. LeBlanc celebrated their golden wedding. Mr. LeBlanc is survived by a widow and the following children: Samuel, Richard, Eli, Philip, Frank and Fred LeBlanc, and Mrs. John Seavitt, all of Ecorse. A sister and 17 grandchildren are also living. The funeral will be held from St. Francis Xavier's church, Ecorse and 10 o'clock Monday morning.
