He graduated from Belleville High School in 1958, Michigan State University in 1962 and Wayne State University Law School in 1965. He served as a Mich. Supreme Court Law Clerk for Justice Harry Kelley in 1965-66, was an Eaton County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney from 1966-68 and was elected Eaton County Prosecuting Attorney serving from 1968-72. He was currently a self employed Attorney involved in private Law Practice in Charlotte since 1966. He was a member and past president of the Eaton County Bar Association and was a member and past president of the Mich. Tree Farm Association.
