Detroit area deaths December 1998
ABBOTT , CARLYLE ,Age 76. December 18, 1998. Beloved husband of Margery. Loving 
father of Drew, Diane Wester, Amy Jo (Joe) Purtell, Laura (Paul) Hubbell and 
Damon. Loving grandfather of eight. Mr. Abbott was a P38 Fighter Pilot in WWII; 
was in The European Theater; and flew fifty combat missions. Funeral service 
Tuesday 4 p.m. at The Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd., Clawson. 
Visitation Tuesday 2-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation 
Army.
