I AM NOT RELATED TO THIS FAMILY IN ANY WAY, I JUST HAD THE INFORMATION AND WANTED TO SHARE IT. The following obituary was found in a book that I bought called "The Book of Detroiters" 1908. He does not seem to be listed in this book. Detroit News?, December 13, 1926; page unknown NEW DELIVERS GUIDE'S EULOGY Postmaster-General and Other Members of Club Attend Rited for Caretaker. With Postmarter-General Harry S. New delivering the funeral oration, services for Albert (Buck) Beaufort, guide and caretaker of the Turtle Lake Club, where held this morning in the chapel of the W. R. Hamilton Co., 3975 Cass avenue. The club is made up of men preminent in business and political life, and many of them were there to pay a last tribute to the picturesque woodsman. Mr. New, who had tramped the forests with Beaufort for 42 years, spoke in part as follows: "This friend, known to all of us as 'Buck,' will always be remembered by his hunting companions of Turtle Lake. He was Turtle Lake as no other man ever can be. Ever since the club was founded, 'Buck' had officiated as master of the hunt, and his kindliness and love of the outdoors contributed a great deal to our enjoyment. "When I think of him as he was in the early days I think of a passage from Kipling's 'Ballad of East and West': " 'He trod the ling like a buck in the Spring.' "He was the breath of this great outdoors of North Michigan. He was one of the few men I have ever known who, when he departed, left no enemies or bitter thoughts." The Rev. W. D. Maxon of Christ Church was in charge of the services. The pallbearers were Mr. New, Leslie Broad, of Alpena; Dr. J. W. Inches, William P.l Hollid y, Francis C. McMath and Robert H. Rayburn, all members of the club. Others in attendance were Sidney T. Miller, Oscar Wabber, J.B. Webber, Frderal Judgy Arthur J. Tutle, Probate Judge Henry S. Hulbert, Paul F. Bagley, Ned Hawks, Neil McMath and Harry Bates, of Indianapolis. The burial will be at Moorestown, Ont.
