Brown, 66, of Flat Rock died this morning in Riverside Osteopathic Hospital, Trenton. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, where services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Hubert Price of Woodhaven Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Born Aril 11, 1916, in Milroy, West Virginia, he was the son of Frenchman and Virginia (Rexroad) Brown. He married Anna McCray Sept. 3, 1940 in Roanoke, West Virginia. They had been Flat Rock residents for 30 years. He had been employed as an industrial power plant operator for 35 years, first at BASF in Wyandotte and then at Detroit Edison Co.’s Monroe Power Plant. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church of Flat Rock and Huron Valley Aerie 3732, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Flat Rock. Surviving are his wife; four sons, John of Livonia, David of Wyandotte, Edward and Walter, both at home; four daughters, Mary Brandes of Houston, Texas, Mrs. John (Edith) Deegan of Grosse Ile, Mrs. Leonard (Donna) Fater of Romulus and Joanna Sturgeon of South Rockwood; a brother, Hobart of Southgate; a sister, Mrs. Hubert (Retta) Taylor of Heaters, West Virginia and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
