Huro Campae .. Detroit Man Gun Victim
Harbor Beach, Oct 17 - Howard Phillip Campau, 30, of Detroit, was 
instantly killed about 3 p.m. Mon in an accidental discharge of his 
shotgun on the farm of William Essenmacher in Sand Beach twp. Campau 
had been hunting with Sylvester Sieman and Bernard Booms, both of 
Harbor Beach and Albert Karr, Dearborn. He had stopped to watch a 
threshing machine in operation, remarking he had never seen such a 
machine before and laid his shotgun on a truck. When he reached to 
pick up the shotgun, the hammer struck one of the iron bands of the 
floor of the truck, causing the weapon to discharge. Campau was struck 
in the neck............
