Herman A. Goebel

Services for Herman A. Goebel, 71, who retired as principal clerk of the 
Detroit Department of Public Works after 33 years service, will be held 
tomorrow in Hollister, Calif.  Born in Detroit, he began working for the DPW 
in 1913 as a stenographer and moved u the scale until his retirement in 1946 
when he and his wife moved to California to live with their daughter.  He died 
there yesterday after a long illness.  His wife, Elsie, and the daughter, Mrs. 
Dorothy Merrill, of Hollister, survive.  Burial will be in California.
