GRUSCHOW VICTIM OF APOPLEXY Ashlar Lodge Pastmaster To Be Buried Saturday ---------- The body of Hugo F. Gruschow, president of the Cadillac Printing Co., 5850 Second boulevard, former pastmaster of the Ashlar Lodge and prominent in Masonic circles, will lie in state from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Masonic Temple. The consistory funeral service will follow at which the Hudson quartet will furnish vocal selections, while the service at the grave will be under the auspices of Ashlar Lodge. Mr. Gruschow died suddenly at the Henry Ford Hospital Wednesday night from a stroke of apoplexy. He had gone to the hospital for observation following a recent period of ill health. He was 54 years old and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Caroline Gruschow, a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Cole, and two sons, Willard and Allan. Born in Chicago, June 7, 1871. Mr. Gruschow came to Detroit 25 years ago and for the last 15 years has been in the printing business. He was a member of the Michigan Sovereign Consistory, Ashlar Lodge, the Detroit Athletic Club, the Kiwanis Club, the Detroit Union League Club and the Players Club.
