Leimback of Detroit, 72 yrs old, were held Tuesday morning at 9:30 in St Patrick's Church, Carleton, following prayers at the home of a sister, Mrs Bertha Trombely, 2210 Grange Road, Trenton. The rites were conducted by the Rev Wm L Shaw, priest of the parish. Burial was in the family lot in St Patrick's cemetery. Captain Leimback, a Coast Guard officer who retired in 1920, died Saturday. Death was the result of heart disease. Captain of a light ship for more than 30 yrs, following his retirement, Mr Leimback was hospitalized in the Marine Hospital, Detroit, for 3 years. He was born Dec 7, 1872, the son of John and Catherine Leimback, on the family farm on Stoney Creek Road, Scofield. Surviving are his widow, Florence of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs Bertha Trombley and Mrs Regina Trombley of Wyandotte; five brothers, Peter of Detroit, Leo of Wyandotte, Antonio, Edward and Phillip all of Belleville, and several nieces and nephews.
