The Detroit News 8 May 1998
Detroit native passed away April 29, age 78, lived with her son Daniel, and 
partner Thomas Chelena since her move to Houston, TX Nov. 1994.  Prior to 
Houston, she lived in Walled Lake and Troy.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held 
Sat. May 9 at St. Anastasia, 4571 John R., Troy, 9:30 a.m., a reception follows 
at Picano’s, 3775 Rochester Rd.  Malachowski is also survived by a son Chester 
of Mountain Home, AR and sister Frances of Warren, daughter-in-law Debbie, two 
granddaughters, Pamela and Veronica, and four great grandchildren: Megan, 
Cecelia, Ryan and Trevor, one niece and five nephews.  She is preceded in death 
by her husband Chester, brother Walter and sister Lottie and her niece/godchild 
Geraldine.
