Detroit Newspaper of Unknown Name
Emerson D. Phelps, Harper Hospital, 32 years, fracture of skull.  Another 
killed by iron beam - struck on the head by heavy metal beam while working on 
the Hupp Motor Car Company Plant, Mt. Elliot and Milwaukee Avenues.  Monday 
afternoon, Philips [sic] 32, 797 St. Aubin Ave. died a short time later at 
Harper Hospital.  Coroner Burgess is investigating.

Additional Comments:
Emerson was survived by his wife Alberta Louisa nee. Neff and daughter Gladys 
Irene Phelps.  He was the son of Nathan Jabez Phelps & Elva Pluma nee. Winslow, 
and brother to Aubrey and George Phelps.
