STEINER Former teacher, magazine editor Frederic W. Steiner, a teacher and magazine editor, died Friday, April 14, 1995, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo after a short illness. He was 83. Mr. Steiner of Grosse Pointe Woods was a graduate of Albion College and received his master's degree in mathematics from Northwestern University. He taught at Iron Mountain and Trenton schools and at Wayne State and Oakland universities. After teaching, he edited Syncroscope Magazine for Detroit Edison, retiring in 1973. He returned and worked there as a consultant until 1986. Surviving are his daughter; a son; two grandchildren; and a sister. Visitation is noon to 9 p.m. today at the Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels, 208 W. Erie, Albion. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea. Memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice. dz
