Observer & Eccentric, January 27, 2008
SWOPE, RICK:  Passed away on December 7, 2007 in Wayne, Michigan.  He was born 
June 29, 1954 in Detroit.  Rick was a disabled veteran of the US Air Force.  
He spent much of his adult life supporting nonprofit agencies and churches.  
He contributed thousands of dollars for food and housing to those who needed 
assistance.  He truly was a Good Samaritan to many. 
  Survivors include a sister, brother-in-law, and 2 nephews.
  A public memorial service will be held on Wednesday at the Wayne Public 
Library.  Interment will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 
in Boulder City, Nevada.
