In 1862, he with his parents moved to Vermontville Township. He spent a great deal of his life in Detroit, working the greater part of the past 43 years in the employ of the Grinnell Bros., at the Grinnell music store. The 3rd day of July 1927, he came to make his home with his nephew, Mr. J. W. Weatherbee and family, where he was sick three weeks and peacefully passed away, December 31, 1929. Services were held at the home of Mr and Mrs J. W. Weatherbee conducted by Rev. J. I. Batdorff. Those who are left to mourn their loss are nephews, nieces and friends.
