Caroline Stockwell Catlin wife of William Thomas Catlin 1829-1890 Headstone is
to the right of her husband William Thomas Catlin's headstone. Section E, Lot
22, Grave 1. The stone is so weathered that none of the lettering can be read.
The very top of the stone says MOTHER.

Migration from England to Detroit Michigan,USA about 1858 with 5 of their 9
children: Henry George William 1850, Eliza 1852, Ellen 1853, Alfred 1855, Louisa
Mary 1857, George Paul 1859, Charles F. 1860, Alice Maud 1862, Ida May 1864.
Husband: William Thomas Catlin aka, born Henry Hyatt Thomas, after marriage
became Henry Thomas William Catlin. Arrival in the USA, name changed again, and
Henry was dropped. English/Wales custom in some way- William was his father's
given name, Thomas was his surname at birth, also his father's last name. Catlin
was the christian name given his mother Catharine. Unknown origin of Hyatt or
why it was dropped. William's occupation in Detroit was Bookkeeper in the Wayne
County Assessors Office from 1870-1890. 
Caroline's parents, George Stockwell 1790-1840  Elizabeth Addis Stockwell 1793-
Siblings: Eliza 1824, George Frederick Davenport 1831, Robert Broughton 1836,
Henry James 1839.
