This is the main headstone for the Laura and Fred Coon plot.  There is an 
individual stone for Fred, inscribed "Father Fred 1867-1920". The pictured 
headstone reads "COON". As with his wife's records, there is a date 
discrepancy. Other records list his date of birth as May 8, 1866.  He was born 
in Greenfield, Michigan, to Debbe Otis Coon and Myron Coon (see notes at this 
website).  He married Laura Maurer Coon on March 19, 1889 in Wayne Co., 
Michigan.  He was a talented carpenter. Census sheets list his occupation 
as "farmer". He died suddenly from a stroke on October 8, 1920.
