Wilburn was born on June 13, 1921 in Chapmanville, West Virginia to Thomas Lewis Privett and Vicie Mae Ellis-Privett. He had a twin brother - Willard Privett as well as numerous other siblings. Wilburn was married to Betty Lee Kirby-Privett and they resided in Riverview, Michigan since the early 1950's. They had 7 children together. Wilburn was ane electrician at Great Lakes Steel and the treasurer and one of the founders of Great Lakes Steel Worker's Federal Credit Union in Ecorse, MI. He died of a heart attack at age 51 on November 19, 1972. Additional Comments: The date of death on the tombstone is not correct - it reads that he died Nov. 9th and the correct date is November 19th, 1972. Buried next to Wilburn are his wife, Betty Lee Kirby-Privett, who died on July 26, 1988 of complications of diabetes and his daughter, Sharon Ann Privett-Nagarajan, who died January 14, 1995 of lung cancer. There are six plots there with 3 occupied and 3 vacant as of July 25, 2010.
