A memorial headstone to Chief Quaquo, a tribal leader, who lived in the vicinity, is incorporated into the monument. The city of Wyandotte, Michigan Memorial Park and the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority joined together with the spirit of cooperation to retain the dignity and historical integrity of the monument. The monument was relocate to this site to protect it and preserve forever the intent of its founders.
