Son of DeForest & Mary

Enlisted as a Private on August 9, 1862 at the age of 25 in Company C, 24th 
Infantry Regiment Michigan. Killed on April 29, 1863 in Fredericksburg, VA

Inscription:
Aged 25 yrs., buried on the banks of the Rappahanock - U.S. Volunteer 21st MI 
Infantry Co. C
