Located on the right side of the upper steps.

This mausoleum is located next to the Dodge brothers mausoleum.

 



Matilda Raush b. Oct 19, 1883 Walkerton, Ontario, Canada

              d. Sep 19, 1967 Belgium

Parents: George and Margaret Rausch, German immigrant saloon keepers.

She graduated from Gorsline Business College and worked as a secretary for 
Dodge Brothers Motor Car Company in Detroit.  On Dec. 10, 1907 she married 
automotive pioneer John Dodge. John had 3 children from a previous marriage and 
he and Matilda had 3 children.  John died in 1920 from influenza while on a 
business trip to New York. They purchased a 320 acre farm named Meadowbrook, 
this was the first of nine farms which eventually made up Meadowbrook Farms.



In 1925 she married Alfred Gaston Wilson 1880- April 6, 1962   Occupation: 
Lumber broker.  Alfred and Matilda adopted two children in 1930, 18 month old 
Richard and 3 month old Barbara. 



Alfred and Matilda constructed the mausoleum of pink granite with a pink marble 
interior.
