Alfred is buried in the Woodmere Cemetery at 9400 W. Fort St., Detroit, 
Michigan. His headstone reads:

     UFFORD 
Alfred 1839- 1875
Henry 1861- 1880
Alfred Jr. 1872- 1890
Frederick 1873- 1818

The other three names are sons of Alfred and his wife Catherine (Armitage). 
Catherine's grave is nearby, with their daughter Susan. According to a lot 
record found by Edward, Alfred was buried on March 3, 1875.

Nearby to the graves of Charles and his wife Mary, Edward found the graves of 
Charles' sister Catherine (Armitage) Cole.
