Cadillac News Aug. 15, 2001
Ernest Lee Calkins of Reed City died Tuesday Aug. 14, 2001 at his home. He was 
44.
Mr. Calkins had lived in Battle Creek, Mount Pleasant and Evart before moving
to Reed City. He had been employed at MOARC in Paris, MI, for more than 15 
years. He enjoyed collecting books, doing line drawing and puzzles.

He is survived by his Father and Step-Mother, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 half-
sister, six nieces and six nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1969 and half-sister, Janna L. Calkins
in 1972.

Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Pastors J. 
Fred Calkins and Quentin Purvis officiating. Burial will be in Sherman Township 
Cemetery, Osceola County.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Cadillac Seventh Day Adventist Church. 
Envelopes are at the funeral home.
