"Funeral Services for Mrs. Nelson Woodworth Held at the Free Methodist Church Sunday Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Manton Free Methodist Church for Mrs. Minerva Woodworth who passed away Friday at the home of her daughter Mrs. LeRoy Cole after a long illness. Rev. D. A. McPhee officiated and interement was in Manton Cemetery. Minerva Cutler was born in Hillsdale county, Michigan, Dec. 27, 1849 and passed away June 9, 1933, aged 83 yrs, 5 months and 13 days. December 18, 1867 she was married to Nelson Woodworth. To this union were born nine children. One passing away in infancy and two sons, Olin and Pearl dying in 1920. The husband died in 1922. Mr. & Mrs. Woodworth were among the early settlers of Wexford county having settled on a farm one mile west of Manton which was their home until a few years back when they moved to Manton. Following the death of her husband, she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Oval Redman of Mesick until September 1932 when she came to live with another daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Cole of Manton where she has since resided. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and a faithful worker. She leaves six children to mourn her loss; Mrs. LeRoy Cole of Manton, Mrs. Oval Redman, Mrs. Charles Spencer and Charles Woodworth of Mesick, Mrs. William Morgan of Kalamazoo, Mrs. George Longstreet of Owasso; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren besides a large circle of friends." dz
