"MESICK Edith Elvina Burton of Mesick died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002 at her home. 
She was 78.

She was born July 19, 1924 in Pontiac to Bert and Letha McKinch. She married 
Charles E. Burton on March 10, 1941 in Michigan City, Ind.

In 1938, her husband started Burtons Trailer Park in Mesick. Mrs. Burton helped 
operate the business throughout their marriage.

Mrs. Burton loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and tending to her flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kay; and brothers, Jon and 
Ron.

Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Hitesman Funeral Home in Cadillac with Rev. Jack 
Conklin officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Township Cemetery in Mesick.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made 
to Munson Hospice."
