Obituary - Cadillac News 
MANTON - Carroll L. Carnahan of Mesick went to be with the Lord from his home 
on Saturday, March 20, 2004 after a long illness. He was 71. He was born on 
Sept. 13, 1932 in Mesick to Floyd and Dorothy (Miller) Carnahan. He married 
Loretta Graves on Sept. 10, 1955 in Mesick. Mr. Carnahan graduated from Mesick 
High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, 
stationed in Italy for two years.
He was employed at Garn Glass Company in Cadillac for many years and the Howe-
Martz Glass Company in Bay City for several years. He also managed Smith Manor 
for the Bay City Housing Commission until he retired and returned to Mesick in 
1997. Mr. Carnahan was a member of the Antioch Bible Church. He enjoyed fishing 
but his church was the most important part of his life. He dearly loved all his 
family.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bud and Charles, and sister, 
Audrey Mosher. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Chapel in Manton 
with Rev. Roy Hewittofficiating. Spring burial will be in Antioch Township Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
