She was 65. She was born on June 19, 1939, in Cadillac to George and Gladys (Ward) Millen. She married Walter Carl Hoadley in Cadillac on Nov. 3, 1958. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1998. Mrs. Hoadley grew up in Boon and graduated from Mesick High School. She worked at Fashion Industries in Cadillac before her marriage. After her marriage, she lived at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, S.D., and later at military bases in Oscoda, San Antonio, Texas, and Tacoma, Wash., before retiring to Manton in 1978. She was employed at the Cadillac Girl Coat Co. for four years and at Four Winns for 10 years. She loved gardening, outdoor activities and dearly loved her family. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Nolan, brothers Darrel and Leonard, her parents and her stepfather, Henry Tidey. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Chapel in Manton with Rev. Mark Gerdes officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Township Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
