"MESICK Gearldine Peterson of Mesick died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002 at her home 
after a lengthy illness. She was 89.  She was born July 8, 1913 in Alberta 
Canada to A.D. and Lillie (Webster) Kibbe. Her first husband Lester Stitt 
preceded her in death in 1945. On Aug. 31, 1951 she married Laurel Peterson in 
LeRoy.
Mrs. Peterson grew up in the Manton and Mesick area and lived in LeRoy from 
1958 until returning to this area in 1988. She was a homemaker and enjoyed 
cooking, baking, flowers, birdwatching, fishing and outdoor life. She loved her 
family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles in 1989; her sister, Ellen 
Goldsmith; brothers, Paul and Ira Kibbe; half-brother, Gerald McIntyre; and 
infant grandchildren, Marcia, Sally and Kevin Stanley.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Chapel in Manton with Rev. Evart 
McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Township Cemetery.    
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home."
