Julia Ann (Davis) Moore was born in Plainfield Twp., Kent Co., MI to Alanson 
Davis & Malinda House.  She was a publishsed poet known as the "Sweet Singer 
of Michigan".  A large portion of the Moore relatives moved from Kent Co. and 
settled in Manton, Wexford Co.  Gov. Engler proclaimed Dec. 1-7, 1997 as Julia
