Dolores "Meredith" Burroughs

CADILLAC - Dolores "Meredith" Burroughs of Mesick died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003 
at her home. She was 78.

She was born Feb. 2, 1925 in Copemish to Merel and Isma (McDonald) Meredith. 
She married Rex J. Burroughs Aug. 7, 1944 in Mesick. He preceded her in death 
in 1985.

Mrs. Burroughs was a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service, 
retiring in 1988. She was a life member of the AMVET Auxiliary of Mesick and 
Eastern Star of Mesick and a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Mesick, VFW 
Auxiliary of Traverse City and American Legion of Cape Canaveral, Fla.

Mrs. Burroughs loved to golf and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

Private family services have taken place. A reception luncheon will be held at 
2 p.m. Jan. 3 at AMVETS Post No. 120 in Mesick.

Arrangements were made by Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home in Cadillac.
