A researcher took this for me at the Sherman Mesick Cemetery.  It is my great-
grandfather's grave.  It says William D. Clark, 1859 - 1895.  The researcher 
says that cemetery records indicated that the tombstone was paid for by A. J. 
Doyle.  He was the brother of William Clark's widow.

Additional Comments:
William David Clark was born 1859 in LaGrange Co., IN, the son of Anson Clark 
and Emily Lewis.  He married Esther Matilda Doyle on 13 Dec 1887 in Sherman, 
Wexford, MI.  The couple lived in Grand Rapids where William worked for the GR 
& I railroad.  They had two children, Margery Emeil Clark and Earl Carlyle 
Clark.  William died from injuries sustained in a railroad accident.
