J. KUEHL SECCUMBS AFTER A LINGERING ILLNESS. WAS 82 YEARS OF AGE BUT HAD BEEN ACTIVE UP TO SHORT TIME BEFORE DEATH. C. J. Kuehl for 47 years a resident of Sauk Rapids died at the home of his son Fred Kuehl in this city on Tuesday evening at 6:30 after a lingering illness, his death being due to a complication of disease brought on by old age. Mr. Kuehl who was 82 years of age had been active until a few months ago. He had been in failing health for the past six months but had continued to work until last spring when he retired. He had been confined to his bed for two weeks prior to his death. Deceased was born in Germany. He came to America when he was a youth of 12 years. It was a number of years later when he came to this city. During the past few years he had made his home with his son F. W. Kuehl. He is survived by four sons, George of St. Ansgar, Ia., Charles of Regan, N. D., Ezra of Minneapolis and Fred of this city; one daughter Mrs. Cust Larson of Little Rock Lake, a brother Henry of St. Ansgar, Ia., and two sisters, Mrs. S. Pool and Mrs. Willing of Minneapolis. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon with services at the residence of F. W. Kuehl. Burial will be in the local cemetery.
