After a nap, his thoughts were what a beautiful place this would be for a church, so he and other Swedish settlers bought the 40 acres of railroad land at $5.00 an acre..... The cemetery was dedicated in 1893 by Rev. Cavalin, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Ortonville."' Earliest birth-1841, earliest burial-1896.'
