Interment will be at Mound Cemetery. Blaine Hamann was born Sept. 7, 1960 in Ortonville, the son of Lorance and Marlys (Nielsen) Hamann. He grew up in Ortonville and graduated from the Ortonville High School in 1978. He attended St. Cloud State University and transferred to the university of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He worked for Wells Fargo Bank in Minneapolis. Blaine enjoyed golfing, tennis and photography. Survivors include his mother, Maryls (Robert) Swigerd or Wahpeton, ND, and his father, Lorance (Bonnie) Hamann of Zap, ND, one sister, Darcy (Mike) Schloesser of Lee Center, two stepbrothers Mark (fiancé Loretta) Swigerd of Ortonville, and Matt (Kari) Swigerd of Austin, four stepsisters, Margo (Jon) Berg of Sheridan, WY, Sheryl (George) Borner of Philipsburg, MT, Tammy Benjimen of MN, and Misty Benjimen of Wahpeton, ND, also by Aunts and Uncles and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Jane Hamann; grandma and grampa Hamann, grandma and grampa Nielsen, and step-grandma, Elsie Swigerd.
