FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Nancy Hoffman Submitted: October 2007 ========================================================================= KILVINGTON, CHARLOTTE A resident of Ortonville for nearly 50 years (since 1904), Mrs. Charlote (Lottie) Kilvington, 72, died early Monday morning, November 12, 1951, of heart failure. Suffering from ill health for the past two years, she was taken to the Ortonville hospital last Friday and gradually became worse. "Gram" as she was best known by her family and close friends, was born June 22, 1879 at Mason City, Iowa, where she spent her childhood, was schooled and later married Herbert Kilvington on July 10, 1894. He preceded her in death by exactly seven years. Their son, Verne, died about six months ago. Survivors are a son. Earl, of Marshall; a daughter, Mae, Mrs. Al DeGreef of Big Stone City, S.D. and three grandchildren, Leslie Kilvington of Big Stone City, Gordon Kilvington of Marshall; Lucille, Mrs. John Semrau of Big Stone City and eight great grandchildren as well as a sister, Mrs. Belle Solum and a brother, Will Turnbull, both of Mason City. Pallbearers at services held today at 2 P.M. at the Methodist church with Rev. Dixon officiating were Rasmus Gjengdahl, Sivert Belgum, Fred Brown, Ralph Prior, Gus Kleinschmidt and August Ninneman.
