Frieda Augusta Zielike Jan. 16, 1907 to April  16, 1982

Final Rites For Frieda Zielike Held Monday

Funeral services for Frieda Augusta Zielike, 75, of Big Stone city, S.D., 
were held Monday, April 19, at 2 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church, 
Ortonville.
Pastor George Krueger officiated.  Music was provided by the Women's 
Choir of Trinity with Mrs. Joyce Reese as organist.
Interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Alban Township, Grant 
County, S.D.
Frieda Augusta Zielike was born Jan 16, 1907, in Alban Twp., Grant 
County, S.D. to parents August and Martha (Ehlert) Strube.  Frieda was 
baptized on Feb. 17, 1907 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church-Yellowbank,
and received her schooling by attending German School and Alban Twp. #7 
rural school.
She was confirmed Oct. 9, 1921 , at St. John's Lutheran, Alban Twp.
Frieda was united in marriage to Mr. Ted Zielike on Apr. 2, 1942.  
They bought a small farm in Grant County, making their way in life as 
farmers.  To this union two children were born, Kenneth  and Deiza.
Upon their retirement in 1973, Frieda and her husband moved to Big 
Stone City.  Frieda was active in community organizations being a member 
of the Extension Club and of the Big Stone City Senior Citizens.
She was active in her church as a Sunday School Teacher and choir member.  
She became a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Ortonville in 1967.
Pallbearers were Dennis Dragt, Don Felton, Gerald Strube, Rodney Strube, 
Glenn Strube and Roy Strube.  
Frieda passed away on April 16 at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux 
Falls, S.D.
She is survived by son Kenneth Zielike of Big Stone City; daughter Deiza  
(Mrs. Dave Schwarze) of Big Stone City; grandchildren Sherri Zielike, 
Dawn Schwarze, and Steven Zielike; brothers, Edward Strube of Belle 
Plaine, W.E. Strube of Big Stone City, and Arno Strube of Ortonville; 
sister Selma (Mrs. William Felton) or Ortonville; nieces and nephews.

The Ekelund-Larson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
