Mankato Free Press 1/6/1938 in two parts P: 11:3:

    Marvin Branstuder, aged 28, a native of Hale, Mo., 
who had been employed on the farm of the late Mrs.
Opal Owens near Red Jacket bridge for some months
past was found dead on that farm this morning.  According
to the statment of Blue Earth coroner Dr. G. A. Dahl, death
was self inflicted.
    Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Branstuder of Hale, Mo., father and
mother were notified of the death by Sheriff Frank Cords.

Held Here Saturday
    Last rites were held for the late Marvin Barnstuder of Hale, Mo.,
Saturday afternoon at three o'clock from the Kelly-Johnson-Boman
mortuary, with the Rev. R. E. Dorn officiating.  The body was sent
to Hale, Mo., for Burial.
