Interment at Lakeview Family Plot The entire community was shocked Monday morning when the news was broadcast that Ed Nutt had passed away from the effects of an operation for gall stones. Coming on the heels of a report that he was well on the road to recovery, the truth of the later report was, for awhile, questioned. Ed had suffered from two or three attacks of gall stones previous to the time he went to the St. Josephs hospital at Mankato, Wednesday, for an operation. He was operated on last Thursday morning and the operation was thought to be very successful, but complications set in and he passed away early Monday morning. The funeral was held from the Hotel yesterday afternoon between the hours of 2:30 and 3:30, all business houses closing down during the services, out of respect to the memory of this beloved citizen. Many relatives and friends were present at these last rites, at which Rev. L. D. Smith of Mankato, officiated. A complete obituary will be published next week.
