Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Rinna McGinnis ========================================================================= Mankato Free Press; May 10, 1958 George Nutt, 65, Dies in Fairmont George Edwin Nutt, 65, a long time Blue Earth county resident, passed away today at a Fairmont nursing home following a lingering illness. Mr. Nutt, a resident of Garden City, was a former employe of the Chicago and North Western Railway company, serving as a baggage clerk at Lake Crystal for many years. in recent years he worked as a painter throughout the county. He was born in 1893 near Lake Crystal and had lived most of his life in that vicinity. He is survived by three stepsons, Ward Lantz, Lake Crystal; Earl Lantz, Flint, Mich.; Joel Lantz, Delavan; a brother, Menzo Nutt of St. Peter and a niece, Mrs. Wallace Hohenstein of Winnebago. His wife, Amanda preceded him in death in 1955. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the James Brothers funeral home at Lake Crystal. Interment will take place at Lake Crystal. The body will lie in state from Sunday afternoon until the time of service.
