ALBRECHT DIES SUDDENLY AT ESSIG TODAY Mrs. Herman J. Albrecht, 74, lifelong resident of Milford township, and Essig, died suddenly shortly after 9 a.m. today, in the home in Essig. She had not been ill and was up and about her duties this morning. Coroner G.F. Reineke and Sheriff John Reitter were called to the Albrecht home shortly after Mrs. Albrecht died, and it is revealed that she had suffered a stroke of apoplexy. Born April 24, 1870, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Knees, pioneer residents of Milford township, Miss Mary Knees grew to womanhood on the farm home in that township, and was married to Herman J. Albrecht, Nov. 18, 1892, in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, New Ulm. They have since made their home in the Essig community. Five children were born to this union, and four, together with the husband, survive. The living children are: Mrs. Wilbur (Lydia) Strate, Clarkfield; Mrs. John (Hilda) Wild, Willow River; Mrs. Elmer (Hertha) Swanson, Little Falls; and Leslie Albrecht, in Oklahoma. Mrs. Albrecht is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Backer, New Ulm, and Mrs. Emma Mecklenburg, Milford township. Funeral arrangements had not been made today, but will be announced in the Daily Journal later. Mr. and Mrs. Albrecht celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago.
