Mrs. Johannes had motored to Sleepy Eye in company with Henry Epper and family Sunday, to visit relatives, and was, apparently, enjoying good health. Late in the afternoon she complained of not feeling well and the homeward trip was started. Upon arriving at New Ulm, it was noticed that her condition was growing more serious and she was taken to the Epper home, whither medical aid was summoned, but she failed to rally and grew steadily worse until death ensued, which was caused by uraemic poisoning. Deceased was born in Granby township, August 16, 1858 and in 1877 she was united in marriage at Swan Lake with Anton Dorn who preceded her death some 28 years ago. About three years later she was married to her surviving husband who with five children from the first union mourn her sudden demise. They are: Mrs. Henry Epper and John Dorn, Nicollet; Matt Dorn, Mankato, Mrs. Anna Dorn, St. Peter, and Anton Dorn, Thief River Falls. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Chas. Sonday, Granby township, and Mrs. J. M. Langenfeld, Hastings; a half brother, Adam Epper of New Ulm, and a half sister, Mrs. Peter Schaefer of Minneapolis. The deceased was a woman of strong Christian character; patient, loving and self, and self sacrificing and will be missed by her many friends. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Paul's Catholic church in this village, Rev. Fr. Hrachovsky officiating, and interment was made in the new church cemetery south of Nicollet village. The bereaved relatives ;have the sympathy of all their friends.
