Payne Street, New Ulm, died Monday morning at Highland Manor Nursing Home, New Ulm. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Chapel, New Ulm, with burial in the Lutheran cemetery. The Rev. Donald Scheuerlein of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today and will continue from 7:30 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Home in New Ulm. She is survived by many cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. She was born on Oct. 19, 1895, in Milford Township, Brown County, to Bernard and Kunigunde (Backer) Knees. She resided in the New Ulm area all her life. She had been a resident of the Highland Manor Nursing Home for the past nine years, was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a member of the St. Paul's Ladies Aid.
