PEUSCHEL In the death of Mr. Peuschel Lakeville loses a good citizen. Mr. Peuschel passed away at the family home Friday morning, after a lingering illness. Being of a kind and happy disposition he will be greatly missed by many friends. He was born in St. Paul Aug. 18, 1855, and when a small boy moved to Wisconsin. He learned the butcher trade in Milwaukee. Later he returned to St. Paul and in 1874 married Margaret Gareis of New Ulm. In 1879 he moved to Lakeville where he opened a meat market and did a prosperous business for many years. He was a member of the A.O.U.W. lodge and also a Mason, the later society forming the funeral escort. He was always interested in any movement which was for the progress of his home town and held many public offices. Besides his sorrowing wife, five children are left to mourn his loss: Mrs. McCormick of Aberdeen, So. Dak.; Mrs. Heglund of Piere, So. Dak.; Emil of Lakeville, Walter of St. Paul, Mrs. C. Haverland of Blooming Prairie; also ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church, burial in Maple Grove cemetery. The pallbearers were: Wm. Roche, W.C. Ryan, P.E. Gilmore, M.J. Lenihan, A.P. Sorenson and A. Gilbertson.
