SCHULTZ Well Known Sleepy Eye Man Died Saturday After Long Illness Funeral services: 1:45 at home Monday afternoon 2:00, Evangelical Church John J. Schultz Resident: Sleepy Eye Died: at home, West Maple street early Saturday morning 3 years ago he suffered a severe attack of influenza from which he never fully recovered. From that time his health failed gradually until one week ago when complications set in which he could not overcome. Obituary John J. Schultz Born: February 2,1871, near Hutchinson, McLeod County Patretns: Gustav and Carolyn Schultz Age: 66 years, 8 months, died Age: 5 years he moved with his parents to this city Father's Occupation: carpenter Age: 14 years moved to a farm northeast of Sleepy Eye Marriage: February 16, 1988, Evangelical parsonage by Rev. H.E. Miller Spouse: Louisa F. Moll Farmed: 5 miles west of town following marriage February, 1930, retired and moved to town Active in church work Member: Evangelical Church (1891 Rev. Gagstatter was pastor) Trustee of the church from 1919 until one year ago when he resigned Loss of the church by fire in 1919 he served on the building committee of the new church and gave much of his time toward the planning and actual building.
