She was well known for playing the accordion in her family band called the 'Peterson Band' from the 1930's until the early 1950's. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry in 1974; brothers Carl Peterson, Holger Peterson, Arthur Peterson, Delmer Peterson, and Herman Peterson; sisters Helga Carlson and Edith Johnson; nieces Lorraine Hovey and Bonnie Mattson; and a nephew Carl Johnson. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her son Jerry of Mahtowa; and her nieces and nephews Joyce Aho, Hulda Telker, Janet McCallie, Marlys Hanneman, Ron Peterson, and John Peterson. VISITATION and gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake. Spring Burial will take place at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Mahtowa.
