        A PRETTY WEDDING

Mr. Herman Peschken and Miss Gertie Fabel Joined in Wedlock
-------------------------------------------------------------

We just received an announcement of the marriage of Miss Gertie Fabel,
daughter of Ed. Fabel, formerly of Hamburg, but now of Minneapolis, to
Mr. Herman Peschken of Bongard. The wedding took place Wednesday, Oct. 24th
at St. John's Church at 11 thirty a.m. at Bongard, Minn.
Rev. Rosenau performed the ceremony. The bridesmaidswere Misses
Lena Peschken, sister of the groom, and Miss Lydia Fabel, sister of the bride,
and the best men were Henry Peschken, a cousin of the groom and Raymond Fabel,
cousin of the bride. The bride wore a gown of white Peau -de- chien silk and
the maids wore french muslin. The groom and his best men wore the usual
conventional black. The whole party presented an array of beauty as they stood
before the minister and listened to the solemn service that made two hearts beat
as one.
After the ceremony the wedding party and near relatives and friends of the
parties joined in the wedding dinner and reception which took place at the home
of the groom or residence of Peter Peschken.
The couple are well known young people of this county and while we have not
at this time the details of the wedding, we can say that both are among the
best of our young folks and worthy ofa long and happy life.
The bride was until recently our correspondent at Hamburg and did much
efficient service for the Times. Her husband is one of our sturdy farmer sons
who will never be found wanting in industry and thrift.
The Times extends its congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs.
Peschken on this, the happiest event of their lives. May they live long to
enjoy the married state.
The couple will be at home at 425 University Ave, S.E., Minneapolis,
after November first. - Norwood Times
The Herald joins with the Times and their other numerous other friends
in extending congratulations. We know the groom well, and can say that he is
one of the most promising young men of this county and learn with pleasure
that he has secured a charming helpmate, and we wish the young couple a
full measure of success.
