Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Lynn Stupke Mrs. Herman Kowalke Dead Passed Away at Her Home West of the Village Tuesday Morning The sad news of the death of Mrs. Herman Kowalke, was received in our village Tuesday morning. The cause of her death was cancer of the stomach, and she had been sick eight months. She was forty years of age. About five months ago, she was brought here to the hospital and underwent an operation for the cancer, but it gave her only temporary relief. Mrs. Kowalke came here about twelve years ago from Carver county, with her husband and located on a farm west of the village, where they have since resided. She leaves, besides her husband three girls and one boy, to mourn her loss. She was always a kind wife and mother, and will be greatly missed. The Argus extends its sympathy to the bereaved husband and children.
