John Downes.
      Funeral services will be held Monday 9 a.m. at St. Charles 
Catholic Church in Cass Lake for John Thomas Downes, Cass Lake 
resident for 60 years, who died February 13.  The Rev Alfred J. 
Azzo will officiate and burial will be in St. Charles section of 
the Pine Grove Cemetery.
     Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the Thomas Funeral 
Home in Cass Lake Sunday 8 p.m.
     Mr. Downes was born in County Clare, Ireland June 24, 1872.  
He is survived by two sons.
