K. Wright is my paternal grandmother. Hiram K. Wright is my paternal grandfather. Mrs. Joseph Resch is the mother of Mrs. H. K. (Anna) Wright. They are all buried together with Joseph Resch (I haven't located his obituary yet) in Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake, Cass County, Minnesota. HIRAM K. WRIGHT LAID TO REST AUGUST 10, 1974-- Hiram K. Wright, a resident of the Cass Lake area for over 70 years passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 7, 1974, at a hospital at White Bear Lake. He had gone to White Bear Lake and had entered a Nursing Home there, about a month before. He was 89 years of age. For four years, he had lived with his son Charles and wife Esther in Cass Lake. Hi Wright was a youth of 19 when he came to Cass Lake from Pine County, to work for the Great Northern railway. He had been a deputy sheriff, manager for Robert Jarvis Enterprises, but was better known as "game warden" for many years. He then became "walking boss" for Mark Burns at Red Lake, and it was there that he retired. His wife, the former Anna Resch, a member of another pioneer family, preceded him in death in August of 1957. Funeral services were held at St. Charles Catholic Church on Saturday, August 10, 1974, and interment made in the family lot in Pine Grove cemetery. His sons and sons-in-law acted as pallbearers. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Thomas O'Brien (Mabel) of Cuyuna and Mrs. James Sheehan (Margaret Ann) of White Bear, and five sons, Fred of Los Angeles, Donald of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Charles of Cass Lake, LeRoy of Duluth and Robert of St. Paul and by 43 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
