FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Joanne Wright Submitted: March 2003 ========================================================================= Note from Submitter: Mrs. H. K. Wright is my paternal grandmother. Hiram K. Wright is my paternal grandfather. Mrs. Joseph Resch is the mother of Mrs. H. K. (Anna) Wright. They are all buried together with Joseph Resch (I haven't located his obituary yet) in Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake, Cass County, Minnesota. OBITUARY: Mrs. H. K. Wright, a resident of Cass Lake for over fifty years, and a member of one of the pioneer families of Cass Lake, passed away Tuesday afternoon at her home while taking her afternoon nap. She was found by her husband, who had been asleep upstairs and neighbors with whom she was to have played cards early in the afternoon. Mr. Wright has been helping out at the Endion Hotel as night clerk, and was sleeping through the day. Mrs. Wright never fully recovered from the attack of pneumonia last winter, which affected her heart. Anna Marie Resch was born at Pierz, Minnesota on the 26th of September, 1884. She came with her parents to Cass Lake in 1905. On August 26, 1907, she was married to Hiram K. Wright, and they have made Cass Lake their home since that time. Funeral services will be held Friday morning from St. Charles Catholic Church, and interment will be made in Pine Grove cemetery. Pallbearers will be her five sons, Fred, Don, Charles, LeRoy, and Robert, and her son-in-law, Tom O'Brien. She is survived by five sons and two daughters, Fred of Los Angeles, Cal., Mabel O'Brien of Cuyuna, Donald of Fort Dodge, Iowa, LeRoy of Duluth, Charles of Walker, Robert of St. Paul and Margaret Anne Sheehan of Minneapolis. She is also survived by five sisters, Margaret Zenniel of Park Rapids, Clara Dugas of Cass Lake, Katherine Kunkel of Marshalltown, Iowa, Eva Kunkel of Haverhill, Iowa, and Josephine Robbins of Stockton, California. The tragedy of her death at this time was emphasized by plans for the celebration of the Wright's Golden Wedding on Monday, August 26, when the whole community planned to honor one of its best liked couples.
